Hi, everyone! My name is Danielle Newton and I am the creator or Back Country Momma ("BCM"). I started my outdoor adventures when I lived in Durango, CO and found my love of hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, yoga and running. When moving back to Gloucester, Virginia in 2013 I reunited with my now husband, Casey, who was hiking the Appalachian Trail at the time. We bonded over our love of adventure and outdoors from the start.

  

In February 2017 our son, Patrick was born and our adventures became much more entertaining. We created BCM to be able to provide information to families, couples and those single folks seeking more wilderness in their lives.
